AJ Newland

My name is AJ Newland and I am a graphic designer, illustrator and artist based in Tacoma Washington. Professionally I work for Costco Wholesale as an Associate Art Director & Manager. I created an independent brand called Mystic Graphics in 2018 as a creative outlet for my personal design and illustration work. I am inspired by the PNW and my adopted city of Tacoma Washington. I have an associates in arts degree from Clark Community College and a bachelors in arts from Western Washington University where I studied graphic design. My goal is to make cool things and meet rad people. I am by nature a quiet and private person but I have really enjoyed discovering more about the local art scene here in Tacoma. I have had a few opportunities to create some large public works of art and would love the opportunity to create more public works of art in our beautiful city. I have lived in Tacoma since 2011 and hope to stay for much longer.
