Chelsea O'Sullivan

Tacoma-based artist Chelsea O’Sullivan is a painter, illustrator, and a mural artist who works in a variety of media including oil and acrylic paints, chalk pastels, ink, colored pencil, as well as aerosol paints. Much of her work highlights her strength in portraiture and figure drawing. She is drawn to nature and vivid color expression but she has also focused on the beauty the city has to offer. Her work has a sense of whimsy and femininity but also can be dark and full of mystery. Chelsea has been painting and doing art for as long as she can remember and has received an Associate in Arts from Green River Community College in Auburn, Washington. As an artist she is constantly challenging herself to learn new media, techniques, and create powerful works of art with feeling and voice.
