Sparks fly from a machinist’s grinder at the old Waterman foundry.
Blueberries, apples, swallows and books fly through a busy, residential neighborhood. These are some of the images Janice Warren has painted for communities and private clients.
Warren searches for balance in her paintings: dense color, dramatic lighting, and delicate rendering counteract industrial landscape, history, and urban culture.
Her style, figurative and narrative, adapts well with community symbols and stories. Other elements include cultural patterns and local heritage.
Janice Lee Warren holds a Masters in Teaching art and social studies from Heritage University. She has painted many murals for commercial and residential clients in Washington and six other western states. Over her long career she has also acquired experience in constructing displays and art restoration
