Biography

Jesse Peterson is a Washington native who's loved drawing and painting since early childhood. He is fascinated with the story you can tell with not only an image, but the medium with which the art is created. Jesse uses mixed media on discarded, salvaged, and reclaimed objects to create a type of recycled art. He finds inspiration from the found pieces he acquires and visually incorporates their surfaces into his images, breathing new life into objects which may have otherwise ended up in a landfill. Jesse moved back to his hometown of Tacoma in 2015 and is honored to be part of a thriving art scene in Tacoma which is transforming the town in a positive artistic community minded way. He has painted several murals in the Seattle/Tacoma area and is an active member of the Tacoma Mural Artist Roster, Traffic Box Wraps project, Spaceworks Rapid Mural Project, and Murals LIVE! Stage at Washington State Fairgrounds.
