Perry Porter
Perry Porter is a contemporary visual artist and songwriter from Tacoma, WA. Emphasizing the aesthetics "Black Magic" (Black Girl Magic or Black Boy Joy), Porter makes work that deals with the documentation of modern events and the question of how they can be presented. Blurring the lines of abstract movement and recognizable human forms, the results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. This is showcased in both his music and visual art.
